A Wooden Table that Folds Like Cloth.
Nathalie Dackelid presents a new type of expandable dining table.
Wooden Cloth is the design of Swedish carpentry student Nathalie Dackelid. Inspired by a tablecloth, the ash table top rolls up to create room for guests and can be easily rolled down to save space.
Unlike tables that expand using leaves that are slotted into place, Wooden Cloth expands only as much as needed. Users simply have to pull the supporting board out as far as desired and let the extra leaves drape over the side. The surface adapts to any space, small or big, eliminating the necessity to change tables in case of other life changes.
